The BPS Temporary Pickling & Conditioning Odorizer is designed for projects where a natural gas pipeline needs both initial odorant exposure and controlled conditioning before normal operation. This is common on new pipeline segments, replacement mains, tie-ins, and low-flow systems where odorant absorption can create low downstream readings during startup.

This portable odorizer gives operators a temporary injection point for controlled odorant delivery during pickling, conditioning, or commissioning work. It can be used to introduce odorant upstream of the target pipe section and maintain a consistent feed rate while downstream odorant levels are verified.

The system is useful when the project requires a flexible field odorization setup instead of a permanent odorizer, or when the permanent odorizer is not located in the correct position for conditioning the affected section of pipe.

Application Advantages

  • Combines pipeline pickling and conditioning support
  • Useful for new mains, tie-ins, and replacement pipe
  • Supports temporary injection upstream of the affected section
  • Helps stabilize downstream odorant concentration before operation
  • Reduces the need for separate equipment on short-term projects

Shared Equipment Capabilities

The odorizer uses continuous, non-pulsating odorant injection, precision odorant flow measurement, high-pressure operation up to 1500 PSI, remote monitoring capability, and a portable field-deployable design for temporary natural gas odorization projects.
