About Burgess Pipeline Services
Burgess Pipeline Services was founded in 2022 built on practical field experience in natural gas operations, odorization, pressure control, commissioning, and pipeline support services. We provide specialized support for natural gas infrastructure where safety, reliability, documentation, and field execution are critical.
Our experience spans natural gas distribution and transmission systems, temporary gas supply, CNG pressure reduction, odorant injection, pipeline conditioning, and gas analysis. We've developed cost-effective odorization systems, our own static pickling methods, and gas analysis tools to support pipeline owners, contractors, and project teams with both technical planning and hands-on field execution.
We understand both the equipment and the operating risks involved in natural gas infrastructure: pressure reducing stations, CNG systems, odorization equipment, underground distribution piping, isolation valves, regulators, gauges, flow measurement, purge points, and downstream gas loads. That extends to leak surveys, odorization verification, regulator inspections, valve identification, lockout/tagout practices, emergency response planning, excavation coordination, operator qualification, and clear operating procedures.
Burgess Pipeline Services is led by Mitch Burgess, who brings a technical and operational background in petroleum engineering, natural gas field operations, process safety engineering, pressure control, odorization, and project management. Mitch holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and has worked across multiple areas of the energy industry, including natural gas odorization, CNG systems, pressure reduction equipment, drilling operations, high-pressure field work, and process safety. Through his work managing pressure reduction systems and temporary CNG gas supply, Mitch has served as a technical authority supporting a fleet of hundreds of pressure reduction system assets across US and Canada operations.
This combination of company capability, technical knowledge, and field experience allows Burgess Pipeline Services to provide safe, reliable, and practical support for natural gas infrastructure projects.
